I'm Eddie Vermeer. For over 25 years I've led technology in places where getting it wrong has real consequences for real people — social care, healthcare, and the NHS.
For nine years I was Head of Information Systems at Certitude, a social care charity supporting more than 1,800 vulnerable adults across 130+ locations. I took the organisation's IT from outsourced and reactive to owned and resilient — leading incident command through a ransomware attack, integrating systems after a merger, and building the data governance that let frontline staff and trustees trust what they were looking at.
I'm currently Cloud Operations Manager at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, leading a hybrid cloud and clinical systems migration projected to save millions over its lifetime — proof the same discipline that stabilises a crisis also scales.
Outside paid work, I chair a Patient Participation Group representing over 30,000 patients in Mid Sussex, and I've spent more than a decade in grassroots sports volunteering — coaching, directing a 300-child cross country event, and building the digital tools that let small, volunteer-run organisations punch above their weight. It's the same belief that drives Fractioned Consulting: technology only earns its keep when it earns the trust of the people who depend on it.
